On June 10-12, 2020 Professor Barbara Barron taught “Virtual Advocacy in the Zoom Age: The Motion”, an online skills course she developed for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.  The course was designed to offer participants a substantive educational experience in developing and executing complex legal and factual arguments in a virtual trial courtroom setting, as well as an opportunity to enhance persuasive advocacy skills using Zoom technology.  The participants were put through various motion practice and performance exercises that tested their ability to listen and quickly respond to questions while maintaining a focused, “camera ready” demeanor.
