Dear Hofstra Law Community,
Following last week’s email outlining the University’s Safe Start reopening plan, I write to provide additional details regarding the Law School’s fall semester. Working with the University and Northwell Health, our partner in the medical and nursing schools, we have developed protocols that align with local, state and federal health and safety guidelines.
We have also invested in new technologies to keep classes flexible and accessible. Students who need to attend classes remotely due to health concerns (such as underlying conditions), illness, isolation requirements or travel restrictions, will be able to continue to participate in classes.
Our plans and policies are adaptable, and may change as the public health situation continues to evolve. Please review the latest details on our fall 2020 reopening plan outlined below.
I will continue to update you with the latest information as we prepare for the first day of classes on August 11. Class schedules will be available to you in the next few days. I also encourage you to visit our dedicated webpage on reopening for up-to-date information; important links, like our new fall academic calendar; and frequently asked questions. The health and safety of our Hofstra Law community remains our highest priority as we prepare for another exciting, engaging, and collaborative semester.
I look forward to seeing you this fall!
Warmest regards,
Judge Gail Prudenti
Dean
