The faculty of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University is ranked No. 63 among law school faculties for its scholarly impact in a new study by professors at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
The study, “Scholarly Impact of Law School Faculties in 2021: Updating the Leiter Score Ranking for the Top Third” (August 25, 2021), explores the scholarly impact of law faculties, ranking the top third of ABA-accredited law schools.
Refined by Professor Brian Leiter, the “Scholarly Impact Score” for a law faculty is calculated from the mean and the median of total law journal citations over the past five years to the work of tenured members of that law faculty.
