On February 16, 2022, Hofstra Law’s DEI Council, APLASA, LALSA, OUTLaw, and Disability, Rights, and Community hosted the event Centering Disability Justice as the Future of Disability Rights: Intersectionality, Disability Rights and the ADA.

The virtual event was moderated by Hofstra Law Professor Jennifer Gundlach. It featured a presentation from Natalie M. Chin, associate professor of law and co-director, Disability and Aging Justice Clinic at the CUNY School of Law.

The discussion focused on the pros and cons of Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), how disability rights can be improved, and the intersectionality between race and disability.
