Happy Spring! As we enter the final stage of our Vision 2020 Campaign, now is the time to “stop and smell the roses” and reflect on a few of our recent successes that have propelled Hofstra Law forward:
We had a sold-out Alumni Networking Event on March 3 that created a buzz in the larger legal community and connected alumni with each other, leading to business referrals, support, and mentorship.
Moot Court hosted an alumni reception on campus after an exceptionally impressive showing from four 1Ls during the final round of the internal competition.
We wrapped up our 50 for 50 Years Campaign on Hofstra’s Day of Giving, the goal of which was to get 50 donors in 50 days in honor of our Law School’s 50th Anniversary. We surpassed this goal by receiving 59 gifts, all thanks to the support of our alumni, faculty, administrators, staff, and friends.
Our 50th Anniversary Celebration and Inaugural Hall of Fame on April 5 is sold out.
If you were/are unable to participate in the above events and activities, don’t worry! I will be waiting to welcome you with open arms at our Home to Hofstra Law event on June 9, taking place on campus. This alumni appreciation event will give you an opportunity to catch-up with classmates, meet fellow alumni, reconnect with former professors, and tour the Law School building to envelop yourself in the nostalgia of late-night study sessions and heated discussions over hypothetical exam questions. Stay tuned for more information and an opportunity to RSVP in the upcoming weeks.

Alumni Spotlight
Hofstra Law Alumni Networking Reception at Novitá
On March 3, the highly anticipated Hofstra Law Alumni Networking Reception at Novitá Wine Bar & Trattoria took place. Alumni from all different class years ranging from 1976 to 2021 came together to network, make new connections, and reconnect with former classmates.
The sold out event was co-sponsored by the Alumni Association’s Alumni Engagement and Development Committee, the committee’s Chair Mike Romano ’11, his firm Romano and Associates, and the Office of Alumni Affairs and External Relations.
As a result of this event, alumni have fostered new business relationships with many attendees already referring business to each other. We also had one alumnus offer to second-seat the first trial of another alumnus and offered the use of his trial presentation equipment. Another alum took a recent grad to a few depositions for experience and exposure to the practice of law.
