1977

Hon. Leonard B. Austin is serving as the first-ever vice chair for the New York State Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government. After serving over two decades in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, he now serves as an arbitrator/mediator with National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM).

1978

Hon. Denise Sher received The Annual Hon. Betty Weinberg Ellerin Award by the Nassau County Women in Courts Committee on November 30, 2023.

1981

Edward J. LoBello joined Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC with a focus on business restructuring, Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, workouts, corporate finance, creditors’ rights and related litigation.

1983

Robert H. Cohen joined Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC as of counsel.

1985

Christopher P. Flint was honored by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Trial Lawyers Section with the Betty D. Friedlander Award for trial excellence.

1986

Hon. Susan A. Berland was elected to a six year term in the United States District Court, 10th District in Central Islip, New York in November 2023.

1987

Scott Davis was elected as legislator for Nassau County’s 1st Legislative District in November 2023.

1988

Theresa A. Mari was elected to serve on the Huntington Town Board.

1992

William A. Munck was honored among the prestigious Dallas 500, a group of the most influential business, civic, and nonprofit leaders in North Texas. He was also listed as an IAM Global Leader for 2024; recognized consecutively since 2021.

1994

Samuel Ferrara joined the new Matrimonial and Family Law practice area at Meister Seelig & Fein.

2002

Michael E. Ratner recently joined the new Matrimonial and Family Law practice area at Meister Seelig & Fein. He was also elected treasurer for American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, New York Chapter.

Sofia S. Fayer was promoted to partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP.

2004

Daniel H. Smith joined Meister Seelig & Fein as a partner in the firm’s Matrimonial & Family Law department.

2005

John P. Whiteman joined Quatela Chimeri as partner in the Matrimonial and Family Law division.

2011

Carron Mitchell was recognized as part of the entertainment team at Nixon Peabody LLP that was named as one of Variety’s Dealmakers of 2023 for their high-impact work in the music and entertainment industries.

2012

Max D. Schlan joined Gutnicki LLP as counsel.

Michael C. Dombrowski joined Perry, Van Etten, Rozanski & Kutner, LLP as attorney at law.

William T. Cavanagh was promoted to special counsel at Kramer Levin.

Henry S. Shapiro was named a 40 Under Forty honoree by Long Island Business News.

2013

Rhoda Y. Andors was promoted to senior associate at Bee Ready Law Group.

Jenelle M. DeVits joined Bain Capital as head of legal, North America Special Situations Boston.

Scott Fleischer was promoted to partner at Barclay Damon LLP.

Jerika Valdes was promoted to senior legal counsel at Overtime Sports, Inc.

Jonathan Salm was promoted to partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP in the Healthcare division.

Nicole Osborne was promoted to partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P. C.

Brian Idehen was promoted to partner at BurgherGray LLP and was selected as a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2024 Fellows and Pathfinders Program.
