Hofstra Law Makes Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition Quarterfinals

Hofstra Law’s moot court team of third-year law students John Federico, John J. Healy Jr., and Brittany Sider competed in the 32nd Annual Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition held on March 2-4, 2024. The Competition jointly sponsored by St. John’s Law and the American Bankruptcy Institute, promotes and recognizes the finest oral and written advocacy on significant issues in bankruptcy practice. 

The Competition featured 54 law school teams from across the country. Hofstra Law placed as a quarterfinalist with John receiving an Outstanding Advocate Award. The team was coached by adjunct faculty advisors Sheila Ballato ’12 and Adam Kahn ’13, and coaches Christopher Kochman ’14 and Sydney Spinner ’18.
