
Third-year Hofstra Law students Dorothy Caccioppoli and Julia Feron won the 2024 Amicus Cup Trial Competition against Baylor University School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada. The team also won the Professionalism Award, voted on by all competitors and evaluators. Dorothy remained undefeated throughout the tournament, with a record of 12-0.
This year’s win represents a successful milestone for the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association (HTAA) who placed as a semifinalist in the 2023 competition. Jared Rosenblatt ’03, special professor of law and faculty advisor for HTAA, was also recognized with the Outstanding Judge Award. Twelve teams competed in this year’s competition including the following schools:
