Hofstra Law Advances to Final of 2024 Regional ABA Arbitration Competition

The Hofstra Law Dispute Resolution Society team, comprising third-year students Aanya Desai, Michael Krohnengold, Jaime Morales, and second-year student Kiera O’Sullivan, secured second place at the 2024 Regional ABA Arbitration Competition.
In the preliminary rounds, the Hofstra Law teams excelled, achieving a 38.5-point differential. In the semifinals, Desai and Krohnengold, serving as counsel, and Morales and O’Sullivan, as witnesses, secured an impressive 17-point differential.
The ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition is hosted annually by the American Bar Association. Students prepare and present an arbitration case, including opening statements, witness examinations, exhibit introductions, evidentiary presentations, and summations. This year’s competition focused on the topic of employment law.
