Alumnus David R. Jimenez ’91 Appointed to Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education

David-R-JimenezOn Oct. 24, 2014, Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced that the appointment of Hofstra Law alumnus David R. Jimenez ’91 of West Simsbury to serve as a member of the state Board of Regents for Higher Education.

“David Jimenez will bring to the Board of Regents his years of professional experience and expertise working with and advising some of the top corporations in our country and in Connecticut,” Malloy said in the press release.

Jimenez is a shareholder in the Hartford office of Jackson Lewis P.C., and is co-chair of the firm’s Corporate Governance and Internal Investigations Practice Group. He represents publicly traded companies and privately held organizations on corporate governance matters, including organizational compliance and employee whistleblower matters. He also advises business clients on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and international anti-bribery matters.

“I am looking forward to working with the Board of Regents on its critically important work with Connecticut’s universities and colleges, as well as the students served by these important institutions,” Jimenez said in the press release. “I’m also very grateful to the Governor for the honor and privilege of being able to serve the State of Connecticut in this capacity.”
