Hofstra Law Alumnus Honored with ADAPT Leadership Award

Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University alumnus Mark Seelig ’89 will be honored with the 2025 ADAPT Leadership Award at the upcoming ADAPT Community Network Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street. Seelig, co-founder and managing partner at Meister Seelig & Fein, earned the award for the impact he has made in the business world and for giving back to the New York Community.

Formerly known as United Cerebral Palsy of New York City, ADAPT was founded in the 1940’s by the Hausman family to help a disabled family member. Since that time, the organization has grown extensively, staying focused on improving the quality of life for people with a wide array of disabilities, including autism. With over 100 specialized programs, ADAPT builds a more inclusive world for thousands of children and adults through education, technology, health, residential and recreational services in all NYC boroughs.

Past honorees of the ADAPT Leadership Award include President Dwight D. Eisenhower, President John F. Kennedy, Governor and Mrs. Nelson A. Rockefeller, President Jimmy Carter, President & Mrs. Ronald Reagan, Rt. Honorable Margaret Thatcher, Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, H.R.H. Princess Diana, General Colin Powell, Barbara Walters, Muhammad Ali, and President Bill Clinton.
