This semester, Hofstra Law’s Dispute Resolution Society competition teams have participated in the ABA Client Counseling Regional Competition, and the ABA Arbitration National Competition in Chicago.
In February, two teams comprised of Joshua Joseph, David J. Moyett , Jessica Laguerre and Aanya Desai, Rosa Fernandez, and Garrett McGuinness, competed in the regional competition. They competed against 20 other teams, from 11 different schools. Joshua Joseph, David J. Moyett, and Jessica Laguerre advanced to the finals and placed third. Robert Pope ’18 and Evan Goldschlag ’24 coached the team.
In January, 3L students Michael Kronengold, Aanya Desai, Jaime Morales and 2L Kiera O’Sullivan were invited to take part in the National Competition, after being finalists in the regional competition in fall 2024. They competed against the 13 best teams in the nation, and were coached by Lucas Kessler ’15, Ngozi Asonye, and Christine Hughes.
