First-year Hofstra Law student Cassandre Axis was honored with the “Trailblazer” Award at the third Annual Hon. Dorothy T. Eisenberg Women in the Law “Trailblazer” Award Presentation and Reception on April 23, 2025.
“To me, being a trailblazer means more than being an innovator; it requires ambition, perseverance, and kindness,” said Axis. “Judge Eisenberg embodied these qualities effortlessly, setting a standard for others to follow – I’m honored to receive the award.”
Hosted by the Long Island Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, the Award is presented to rising second or third-year law students, who demonstrate the same personal characteristics representative of the Honorable Dorothy T. Eisenberg, such as unwavering determination, civility, and commitment to continuing to pave the way for future generations of women professionals.
Cassandre Axis is a member of the Business Law Society, Black Law Students Association, Dean’s Advisory Council and Moot Court intramural competition team. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Hofstra University in May 2023.
