Prof. Eric M. Freedman Moderates Panel and Presents at Symposium on Commonwealth v. Giarratano

Eric M. Freedman, Siggi B. Wilzig Distinguished Professor of Constitutional Rights

Eric M. Freedman, the Siggi B. Wilzig Distinguished Professor of Constitutional Rights, served as a panel discussion moderator and a presenter at the 2015 Lara D. Gass Symposium, “From Conviction to Clemency: Commonwealth v. Giarratano, a Case Study in the Modern Death Penalty.”

Professor Freedman has been involved over many years as a lawyer in Giarratano and related cases and has written several articles in the area.

He moderated the panel “Rights and Remedies When Counsel Is Ineffective” and presented as a panelist for “The Writ of Habeas Corpus as Post-Conviction Relief.”

The symposium was hosted on Feb. 5-6, 2016, by Washington and Lee Law Review.
