The U.S. Supreme Court

Special Professor of Law Anthony Michael Sabino, partner and founder of Sabino & Sabino, P.C., on Dec. 7, 2015, filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case ACT, Inc., v. Bais Yaakov of Spring Valley.

The Justices granted the motion for leave to file the brief, which was in support of the Petition for a Writ of Certiorari. The petition, however, was denied by the Court on Jan. 25, 2016.

From the “Interest of Amicus Curiae”:

This case addresses the plain meaning of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 68, impacts Rule 23 class actions, and implicates the actual case or controversy requirement of Article III. This amicus curiae has a professional and scholarly interest in the proper application and development of the law in these domains.
