Welcoming the Honorable A. Gail Prudenti

Hon. A. Gail Prudenti, Interim Dean and executive director of Hofstra Law’s Center for Children, Families and the Law, will be honored at a special reception hosted by the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Matrimonial and Family Law Committee and the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association.

During the reception, which will be held on Feb. 2, Judge Prudenti will be discussing two pilot programs of the Center for Children, Families and the Law — the Mediation Project and the Guardianship Project — that have launched since she became executive director.

The initiatives of the Center for Children, Families and the Law focus on children and families in crisis. The center offers free legal services for guardianship and mediation issues and provides interdisciplinary education, community service, and research to benefit children and families engaged in the legal system.
