On Dec. 6, 2014, Professor Barbara Barron conducted a one-day seminar as part of the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative’s (ABA ROLI) conference “Current Issues in the Development of Regional CLE Centers.” The conference was held in Moscow, Russia.
The seminar, titled “Colleagues Teaching Colleagues,” focused on the development of teaching methodology designed to introduce substantive case theory development and to integrate substantive legal and factual analyses and American adversarial skills techniques within the context of — and within the limits of — the Russian inquisitorial system.
More than 30 attorneys from all over Russia attended the seminar, which Professor Barron presented in Russian and in English.
