Andrew Schepard, the Sidney and Walter Siben Distinguished Professor of Family Law and director of the Center for Children, Families and the Law, delivered the keynote address at the Family Law Summit on Oct. 27 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Law. The event was co-sponsored by UMKC School of Law and the Johnson County Bar Association.
Professor Schepard spoke on the topic “Family Lawyers in the 21st Century.”
The Family Law Summit was organized to encourage family lawyers to engage in law reform activities and to use their expertise to help adapt the family law system to the needs of 21st-century parents and children.
