On January 20, 2022, Professor Irina Manta helped develop and moderate the panel “Validity and Equity Problems in Law School Teaching Evaluations” for Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
The virtual panel consisted of a multidisciplinary group of professors that discussed the most recent research on teaching evaluations concerning biases with gender, race, disability, and other instructor attributes unrelated to teaching ability. The panelists further discussed reform for evaluations and ways law schools can help tackle the barriers facing women and minorities in academia.
