The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University announced the establishment of the Cona Elder Law Annual Scholarship, which will be awarded to a second-year year law student who demonstrates academic achievement and/or financial need, and an interest in pursuing a career in Elder Law. The Scholarship was created thanks to the generosity of Cona Elder Law PLLC.
“We are so grateful for Cona Elder Law and their long-standing support of our students and our Law School,” says Judge Gail Prudenti, Dean of Hofstra Law. “We are proud of our alumni working at the firm and their dedication to giving back to their alma mater.
In addition to this scholarship support, Cona Elder Law attorneys routinely serve as guest speakers and hold workshops for Hofstra Law’s Trusts and Estates Law Society student group; conduct mock interviews; and provide guidance and advice to students regarding the field of elder law, trusts and estates.
“Cona Elder Law has been successfully recruiting talent from Hofstra Law School for more than 20 years,” says Jennifer Cona, Founder and Managing Partner. “Education is a core value of our firm, and we are proud to support Hofstra’s commitment to making their law students career-ready through this annual scholarship.”
The Cona Elder Law Annual Scholarship is one of 85 new scholarships established as part of the Law School’s Vision 2020 Campaign, which will come to a close at the end of the fiscal year in August 2022.
