Second-year Hofstra Law students and Deans’ Legal Tech Fellows Philip Coatl, Jalen Coleman, and Najelie Smith-Ortiz, presented their “Claimbot” project at the 2024 Legal Innovation and Technology (LIT) Conference on April 8. The annual event, hosted by Suffolk University Law School, explores legal innovation and technology in the context of clinical education. This year’s focus was on practical AI in the real world.
The Claimbot project presentation focused on a bilingual chatbot created by the Fellows, that guides users through the New York State Small Claims Court System and helps users file claims.
