The Hofstra Law team of third-year students Melanie Campbell and Ashtyn Hemendinger won the Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet of the eighth annual Transactional LawMeet Competition. They advance to the National Transactional LawMeet, which will be hosted on March 31 at the New York offices of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
Twelve teams competed in the regional meet, which was hosted by Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law on Feb. 24. Partners from leading law firms, corporate general counsels and other senior practitioners served as judges.
This year’s case involves the sale of the brewing, bottling and wholesale distribution operations of a company to a wholly owned subsidiary of a large, publicly traded branded beverage company.
