Theo Liebmann, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of Clinical Programs

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has selected Professor Theo Liebmann, director of Clinical Programs and attorney-in-charge of the Youth Advocacy Clinic, as the next Reporter for its Ethics Compendium.

AILA is the nation’s leading association of immigration lawyers, with over 15,000 attorneys and law professors as members. Its mission is to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.

AILA’s Ethics Compendium is a comprehensive resource to help lawyers navigate ethics rules and ethical dilemmas that arise in immigration practice. Each chapter contains an analysis of each rule, the interaction of federal laws and regulation, real-life hypotheticals, and state variances with the model rule.

Professor Liebmann, who teaches ethics and runs a legal clinic for immigrant children and youth, has written and lectured extensively on ethical issues related to immigration law.
